Carpet retailer lays down growth plans after Lincoln relocation

Croft Carpets, a family-owned Lincoln business, has relocated to larger premises in the city as it celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The retailer has moved from the High Street to Unit 2, The Pelham Centre, Canwick Road, after agreeing a 10-year lease in a deal brokered by Lambert Smith Hampton.

Owner Simon Croft has now doubled his retail display areas, with more space for carpets, curtains, blinds and hard flooring.

The 2,182 sq ft unit was previously occupied by Uniform Direct and sits between Portland Tools and Elixir Bathrooms on a busy and prominent site on a main road.

Croft said: “This prime location was appealing due to its size, position and parking. The show room was already in great condition, so we were able to move straight in. LSH have helped to make this a seamless transition. I’m looking forward to welcoming our customers, old and new, through the doors to our exciting new showroom.”

Ben Silcock, surveyor at LSH Lincoln, who was appointed to market the unit on behalf of landlord Howtin Investments, said: “Croft Carpets is a well-known retailer in the town and it has been looking for alternative premises for a while. The Pelham Centre is ideal for the business because not only is it on a busy road, there is also plenty of customer parking, too. We were pleased to be able to facilitate its relocation to a more suitable site.”
