Lincs corporate finance advisory firm strengthens team

Bishopsgate has added to its dealmaking team with the appointment of Ed Wesson as corporate finance manager and the promotion of James McBain Allan to director.

The appointments follow a record year as the boutique completed a number of high profile transactions most notable the acquisition of Bullitt Group and the sale of Virgin Experience Days to Inflexion Private Equity for £40m.

Wesson joins from Smith Cooper Corporate Finance, having spent the past three and a half years working in the lead advisory team in Nottingham.

He said: “I’m delighted to have joined Bishopsgate. I was attracted by their unique and entrepreneurial approach to deal-making which has seen them achieve some truly exceptional outcomes for their clients and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”
