Cawdron joins up with Roythornes

Roythornes Solicitors has appointed a new business development director.

Lisa Cawdron joins the senior management team of the firm from contractor Willmott Dixon. She previously spent more than 20 years in the legal profession in the East Midlands. As a partner, she headed up the commercial property team at a Nottingham law firm, before becoming their business development director. That firm became part of Shakespeare Martineau, where Cawdron continued as head of business development across the enlarged practice.

Following her move into the construction sector in 2016, she was responsible for business development for Willmott Dixon in the East Midlands and supported the company’s strategic regional growth.

Cawdron will be based at the Roythornes’ Nottingham office. Her role is firm-wide covering the head office in Spalding and offices in Alconbury and Peterborough.

She said: “I have known managing director Vember Mortlock for some time, as well as several other members of the firm’s senior team, and their clear ambition and long-term strategy means it is a really exciting time to join the firm. There is a real sense of company-wide buy-in to this plan which is communicated at all levels, and I look forward to being a part of it.

“Roythornes has an outstanding reputation for delivering high-profile work within the region and with a strong focus on agriculture and rural estates, the food sector and commercial property. Part of my role will be to take that reputation and continue to amplify it on a national scale, without losing touch of our East Midlands roots.

“I am very much looking forward to embedding myself within the team over the coming months and utilising my expertise in the property sector at MIPIM in March as part of Team Lincolnshire and Team Nottingham.”
