On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

PwC in the East Midlands has added to its leadership team with the appointments of Matt Palmer as assurance director for private business, Alan Walsh as assurance director to support large businesses across a range of industries and tax partner, Steve Smith, who also becomes Midlands fast growth leader.

Trusha Kachhela, has also been promoted to Midlands tax leader.

Palmer and Smith join from PwC’s Birmingham office, with Walsh joining from PwC London. Kachhela’s promotion expands her remit to lead tax matters for the region and she will continue to be based in the East Midlands.

The firm’s Castle Donington office also welcomed more than 29 graduates, interns and business placements.

James Hartley

Lincoln construction and consultancy firm LGG Projects has appointed James Hartley as a design co-ordinator.

He joins the firm from UKSD, where he worked as a training architectural technologist at the firm’s Nottingham office.

Hartley will be based at LGG Projects’ office on Tentercroft Street and will be working across a number of the firm’s projects, including The Parklands; a new 155-home development in the village of Sudbrooke, and Bailgate Mount; which is a development of nine townhouses on historic Motherby Hill.

Hartley said: “LGG Projects is working on a very impressive array of projects in and around Lincoln that will provide invaluable experience and opportunities for all members of the team, which I am keen to be a part of.

“As a supporter of advances in technology within the construction industry, the firm’s utilisation and grasp of emerging technologies within the sector was a big draw for me. The LGG team are really supportive and I couldn’t be happier with my new appointment at the firm.”
