Derby training firm lands Severn Trent contract

Derby-based Develop Training Ltd (DTL) has been awarded a contract by Severn Trent to provide training related to health & safety at work and technical compliance.

It follows DTL’s recent success in being awarded a contract for electrical training by Severn Trent.

The new two-year framework contract covers two lots. Firstly, DTL will be providing Severn Trent with Water Regulations and water quality training, which includes legionella, for a variety of abilities from new industry entrants to experienced personnel. Secondly, DTL will deliver deep excavation (trench support), mains & service laying, including large diameter mains, training.

There is an option for Severn Trent to extend the contract twice by a further year.

The training will be delivered across DTL’s training centres in Derby, York and Swindon.

“It is extremely pleasing to have been selected by Severn Trent to deliver this training so soon after winning the electrical training contract,” said Chris Wall, sales and marketing director for DTL. “It speaks volumes about the quality of our delivery and the excellent relationship we enjoy with Severn Trent, for whom DTL has provided training for many years.”
