Leicester ecommerce firm teams up with German industry giant

A Leicester ecommerce specialist has entered into a joint venture with a German counterpart which has over 60,000 clients.

Williams Commerce, which employs over 100 people and has its head office on Friar Lane in Leicester, has teamed up with Shopware to seal a strategic partnership.

Established in 2008, Williams Commerce is a full-service ecommerce provider which has helped over 350 customers transact millions of pounds and dollars by offering services through a variety of eCommerce platforms, digital marketing, managed hosting, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Rob Williams, chief executive of Williams Commerce, said: “Our growing team of over 110 specialists have deep eCommerce expertise spanning retail, B2B trade, wholesale and manufacturing sectors and we’ve worked with a large variety of industries from fashion, health and beauty, gifts and toys, to food and drink, FMCG, home and garden, and more.”

Shopware is a German open source ecommerce platform which deals with over 60,000 businesses, including major European brands such as as L’Oréal, mywalit, Hughes, EURONICS, Discovery Channel, and BRITA. Next to classic B2C commerce, Shopware says it is currently facing a growing number of B2B enquiries.

Williams added: “We’ve worked with both B2B and B2C companies offering eCommerce and digital marketing services, which are tailored to the needs of each customer we partner with. First, we understand the goals and needs of each of our clients, and then we collaborate on creating the strategy to achieve and implement them.”

Shopware’s variety of business cases is one of the reasons why Williams Commerce and Shopware decided to partner, says Williams: “We take pride in selecting and working with only the best eCommerce solutions and partners, which is why we decided to enter a partnership with Shopware; a leading enterprise-grade eCommerce platform who share the same approach by only selecting agencies capable of delivering services to the high standards they expect.

“As a leading eCommerce agency, we are delighted to partner with Shopware to deliver proven, cutting-edge eCommerce solutions for our enterprise-grade customers. We are looking forward to working together and using Shopware to build multi-million pound businesses for our clients.”

Deepak Anand, Shopware General Manager UK, said: “We have very promising expectations with the new cooperation. Our platform and Williams Commerce’s expertise form the perfect combination to deliver great enterprise eCommerce projects.”
