More loft offices launched at former factory

A former multi-storey factory in Loughborough has had its second floor converted to become open-plan shared office space for creative industries and start-ups.

The Jason Works, on Clarence Street near Loughborough Railway Station, is a listed Victorian property which has been fully refurbished, with its second floor offering flexible office accommodation, a communal kitchen area and a private meeting room.

The loft features several office bays, each one approximately 11.5 sq m, which are available on flexible licence terms, costing £100 per week.

Each bay can come with furniture and can easily accommodate two people, and all the bays are separated by low level partitioning, which can be removed to create a larger space and accommodate more staff if required.

The weekly rental cost includes use of Wi-Fi, electricity, water, heating, cleaning, business rates, use of the meeting room and two parking spaces per bay, in a secure car park. There are also bike storage facilities and showers available.

The loft space features a communal kitchen area and a private meeting room.

Travis White, commercial surveyor for Mather Jamie, said: “The Jason Works loft is an innovative adaptation of an older, former industrial property to offer something to modern office workers. The individual bays on offer are ideal for young professionals and freelancers who might need a small yet functional space in which they can focus their creative energies.”
