Lincolnshire has the ‘drums beating in unison’ after successful MIPIM

Team Lincolnshire members at MIPIM

Inward investment chiefs in Lincolnshire are hailing last week’s MIPIM event in Cannes as a “huge success” for the county.

Speaking to TheBusinessDesk.com, councillor Colin Davie, executive member for economic development at Lincolnshire County Council said that Team Lincolnshire has “got the drums beating in unison” across the region.

He said: “There is no doubt that this year’s MIPIM was a huge success for Team Lincolnshire. The public/private sector partnership is the only way of doing things and Lincolnshire is on the up.

“Being at MIPIM is vital for Lincolnshire – we simply can’t sit on the sidelines and Team Lincolnshire will help take us to a level as long as we keep shouting and banging the drum about what great place the area is to live and work.”

Davie said that meetings at MIPIM had led to a number of delegations coming to Lincolnshire over the coming weeks with potential decisions to be made about investing in the region.

He added: “We have lots of follow-up meetings from MIPIM, and I’m sure we’ll go back in 2019 even better prepared after this year’s success.”
