‘Unique’ Nottingham office building to be turned into apartments

Stanley House

A 32,000 sq ft office building in Nottingham city centre has been sold for £3m and is set to be turned into residential accommodation.

Sleekmade Property Company has bought Stanley House on Talbot Street from Tosca Midlands.

David Hargreaves from FHP Property Consultants brokered the deal. He said: ““This property has a unique heritage, having previously been a textile factory and then being converted to offices some 30 years ago. The property was previously occupied by the Driving Standards Agency and has now been sold with vacant possession.

“Its location, very close to Nottingham Trent University’s Main Campus, makes it ideal for both student accommodation and also residential conversion.

“However, due to the significant reduction in the supply of offices, the building is also appropriate for offices as well.”

FHP says that Sleekmade Properties is likely to develop the property for residential purposes and that a planning application will be submitted shortly.
