RSM names new managing partner in Leicester

Kevin Harris

RSM has appointed Kevin Harris as its new office managing partner in Leicester.

Harris takes over the reins from Ben Lawrance who steps down to enable him to focus on his role as regional audit managing partner.

Harris joined RSM last year as an audit partner from PKF Cooper Parry, and founded the firm’s Leicester office in 2001.

He is currently vice chair of the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership and vice president of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, which recently announced RSM as a strategic partner.

Harris said: ‘RSM has a great team here in Leicester and I am very proud to have been asked to lead it. Given the current uncertainty around the economic impact of Brexit, the next few years could be quite challenging for local businesses as they adapt to the new environment. I am determined that RSM will support all of our clients throughout this period to be agile and to take advantage of new opportunities.’

Mark Taylor, RSM’s regional managing partner, said: “I’m delighted that Kevin has agreed to take on this role. He is a natural leader, an expert business adviser and he is well-known across the region. His leadership will, I am sure, be appreciated by all of RSM’s clients across the East Midlands.

“I’d also like to thank Ben for his hard work over the last four years. He has played a key role in developing our Leicester office and helping to raise the profile of the RSM name in the local market since our rebrand in 2015, and I’m delighted that he will continue to lead and grow our regional audit team.”
