Engineering giant moves into iHub

Altran, the French-headquartered engineering and R&D services company, has taken two offices at Derby’s £12m iHub innovation centre on Infinity Park

The move follows Altran’s acquisition of design and engineering services firm Aricent.

Altran works with companies in aerospace, automotive, energy and rail sectors.

Mike Simms, chief executive of Altran UK, said: “The iHub is a fantastic facility which is gaining recognition nationally. The location, services and facilities available here will support our provision of high-value engineering expertise to clients in the aerospace, automotive, energy and rail sectors.”

Ann Bhatti, head of Connect Derby which runs the iHub, added: “Since it was launched last Autumn, the iHub has established a reputation for providing a supportive and collaborative environment to enable businesses to innovate, grow and develop.

“Altran is a global name and we’re delighted to welcome the team to the iHub innovation centre.”

Altran employs 45,000 people in over 20 countries.
