A Nottingham digital agency has revealed plans to double its workforce.

Adtrak, a full service agency which offers design and digital marketing services which is based in the Chapel Quarter, has told TheBusinessDesk.com it is aiming to employ 250 across the company within three years – doubling its current workforce.

The news comes on the back of Adtrak’s first venture into the US market. The firm is says it is taking advantage of a market which its managing director says is ten years behind that in the UK.

Chris Robinson told us: “We’ve signed up two businesses in the US already and next month we’ll be flying back out to the US hoping to secure another six or seven contracts. From then, we’ll be in the US every six weeks.”

Robinson started the business from his garage 20 years ago with a skeleton staff. Six years ago he employed 40 people – today that has increased 123.

Adtrak welcomed two US clients onboard as a result of his recent trip to the US, Easy Mix and Master Pools. They are both based in Austin, Texas and Adtrak says it is also talking to other US and international firms.

“Most of the new work will be done out of the Nottingham office, but we’ve headhunted a director at Clear Channel to head up our US operation in San Diego.

“The SME sector in the US is a decade behind the UK in terms of digital marketing, and so our opportunities for expansion in Nottingham will mainly come from the work we win in the US. We want to be employing 250 people across the US and Nottingham offices within three years.

“What we do works – we make people lots of money, and the US is a natural target because of that.”
