Intercede chief executive steps down after 26 years

The chief executive and founder of Lutterworth software firm Intercede has stepped down after 26 years in the role.

Richard Parris has been replaced by Klaas van der Leest, who has worked for CA Technologies, Intelecom UK, Amulet Hotkey, Global Crossing, Attenda and Logica.

Parris posted on LinkedIn: “Bittersweet day. Moved to non-exec director role at Intercede after 26 yrs as CEO.

“Proud to have created 340 jobs in UK and US and $150m sales from own MyID software over 26 years since I founded Intercede Group.

“Big thanks to all our staff, customers, supporters, suppliers and partners. It’s been a great ride and it’s not finished yet.

“Looking forward to the next adventure in cyber security and digital trust.”

Chuck Pol, non-executive chairman of Intercede said: “We are delighted to secure Klaas as Intercede’s new Chief Executive. He has an outstanding track record in driving sales, service delivery and operations across Cloud, SaaS, Managed Services, IT Services and Software Businesses.”
