Profits boost for Leicestershire plastics firm

Leicester manufacturing firm Oadby Plastics has seen its profits leap by £500,000 for the on the back of an 11.4% boost in revenues in 2017.

Profits came in at just over £3m on a turnover of £35.2m. The firm employed 237 people at the end of the year – up 30 from 2016.

A statement on Oadby Plastics’ latest accounts reads: “With the relocation of our Cannock branch to its purpose-built warehouse and the development of our new site in Braintreee this will inevitably give access to new customers who were previously outside of our areas of service.

“The acquisition of Direct Plastics, an online plastics distribution business, is helping the Group to capture and sustain its share of the market.”
