New directors for Lincoln accountants

Chartered accountants Wright Vigar has announced the appointment of two new directors – taking the top team to nine.

Paul Colcomb and Matthew Chadwick, who are based at the practice’s Lincoln office, on Newland, have joined the Board, after working their way up the ladder at the business, which now employs more than 100 people. Both joined Wright Vigar as trainee accountants.

Colcomb said: “Becoming a director is an honour and a privilege, I am proud of the progress I’ve made and I’m looking forward to working further with existing clients to help them achieve their goals, whilst also creating new client relationships and supporting the growth aspirations of the firm,” said Paul.

“Although I work with all types of businesses, I have a particular interest in the not-for-profit sector. Each have unique needs and it’s great to work with so many organisations who are making a difference in society. We provide specialist advice on items such as governance and operational matters alongside the statutory year end services,” he said.

“At Wright Vigar we are currently working with many organisations, from registered charities, community interest companies to community amateur sports clubs, ensuring they are kept up to date with the latest regulations within the sector.”

Chadwick added: “Becoming a director at Wright Vigar is a proud moment for me and my family and marks the fulfilment of a long-held ambition. Like Paul, I am eager to play my part in helping the firm to expand over the coming months and years,” he said.

“I currently oversee the firm’s audit function which looks after many audit clients. Some of the largest companies I work with are based in the property and construction sectors.

“These are particularly active in Lincoln and Lincolnshire, which continues to attract major investors and exciting new projects. I believe this area of our business will continue to grow.
