Albert Browne's new HQ

A Leicester manufacturer has expanded into a 78,000 sq ft production and distribution facility on a 4.5-acre site at the Watermead Business Park in Syston.

Albert Browne, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Steris Corporation, produces chemical indicators and has become the technological leader in the field of sterilisation monitoring.

The new building includes offices and 20,000 sq ft expansion space. It was built by Stoford Developments.

Stoford director Alex Morgan said: “Working alongside Albert Browne, the Steris Corporation, and landowners Raynsway Properties, we have been able to deliver a high-quality production facility, built to suit their specific requirements. It’s also great news for the region, reinforcing investment in the East Midlands and safeguarding jobs at a major global company with the potential to grow further.”
