HSBC Commercial Banking to move from East Mids city centre offices

Donington Court

HSBC UK Commercial Banking is set to close its city centre offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham and bring its team together at a regional hub on the Pegasus Business Park, Castle Donington.

Commercial Banking teams that are currently spread across Derby, Leicester and Nottingham will work together under one roof from June.

Roger Pratt, head of mid-market corporates in the East Midlands, said: “The creation of our East Midlands hub brings together all of our employees for the first time, enabling us to work better together and further support our customers in achieving their business goals. The investment in the region is also part of our longer-term plans to grow the team and help more businesses”.

Teams to be based in the hub include Large Corporates, headed up by Jon Bramwell, Mid-Market Corporates, headed up by Roger Pratt, Business Banking, headed up by Dave Welch, and the Real Estate team.

Some 90 staff will move to the new Castle Donington office, a number which HSBC says will grow.

The bank says that relationship directors and managers will continue to have a dedicated focus on either Nottingham, Derby or Leicester.
