Indian street food restaurant eyes Nottingham opening

Zindiya already has a successful Birmingham restaurant

A new Indian street food restaurant and bar could be coming to Nottingham, TheBusinessDesk.com can reveal.

Zindiya, which has a successful venue in Moseley, Birmingham, has applied for a premises license for the former Sinatra unit in Chapel Bar in Nottingham. We understand the unit is under offer to the restaurant, but the deal is yet to be completed.

A spokesperson for Zindiya told us: “It’s something we are looking at but not 100% confirmed yet.”

Zindiya was created by husband and wife team Ajay and Shivani Kenth who opened their Birmingham restaurant in January 2017.

The restaurant promises to “create an immersive experience of India – drinking chai or Limca, eating chaat and gol gappe – in a casual and fun environment”.

Restaurant and bar Sinatra closed in May last year when the owners forfeited the lease after breaching a tenancy agreement with Nottingham City Council.
