Two new partners for Leicester accountancy firm

Leicester-based Haines Watts Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors has promoted two senior members of its team to partner.

Shazin Tayub is a qualified tax technician and chartered tax advisor who joined Haines Watts in 2014.

He said: “I am extremely pleased that my contribution has been recognised and with the opportunity and challenges this promotion will bring. I really enjoy working with clients to find out what issues they have and take great satisfaction in providing them with a range of solutions.”

Richard Buckby has been with the firm since 2012 where he has overseen the growth of the audit and accounts team which has doubled in size in that time.

He said: “I am delighted to take this next step in my career with Haines Watts and to take on the challenge of developing the business even further. The Haines Watts Leadership Development Programme which I completed two years ago allowed me to acquire skills which I have been able to apply to the development of the business. I am looking forward to this next stage of growth and expanding the NFP and Digital Accounting parts of the business as we take it forward into the digital future”

Senior partner, Sanjay Khullar, said: “Richard and Shaz both have the necessary leadership skills and expertise required by a partner of the firm and have been influential in developing our growth strategy.
