Fish and chip chain George’s Tradition has relocated its office in Derby.

The firm has moved from Pride Park to Cardinal Square in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.

George’s Group was founded in 1967 and now employs over 400 people with six takeaways, three restaurants, plus one pub serving the classic British favourite and four themed city centre restaurants throughout the UK.

Nurton Developments, which owns Cardinal Square, has been undertaking a programme of internal refurbishment at the building.

Vass Constantinou from George’s said: “Having been on Pride Park for a few years, we wanted to move somewhere with vibrancy, a business community, pleasant working environment and with easy access. Whilst we knew Cardinal Square as a building it wasn’t until FHP took us inside that we began to appreciate what is on offer, such as the courtyard garden with fountains and tables for lunch or meetings, and the new serviced office facility with shared coffee lounge area and additional meeting facilities should we need them”.

Tim Richardson from FHP Property Consultants added: “Cardinal Square provides a great working environment and the Landlord’s recent investment in converting part of the ground floor to serviced offices offering meeting rooms, a receptionist and informal meeting and breakout areas such as the coffee lounge and garden area, which provide an enticing proposal for office users. It is also a short walk to the Market Place and City Centre facilities, but right on the ring road so is really well located.”

Joint agents FHP Property Consultants and Rigby & Co are marketing Cardinal Square.
