Plans for 117 Belper Mills apartments revealed

Plans to convert the Belper Mills complex in Derbyshire into 117 flats have been revealed at a public exhibition by FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) located on the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.

The FIREM team, DPP Planning and architects DLA Design have outlined the plans to bring new homes, leisure facilities and businesses to Belper Mills to accompany the commercial operations and tourist attractions, such as the North Mill Museum, that are already on site.

A spokesman for FI Real Estate Management, said: “We’d like to thank the people of Belper for attending today’s event. This was the culmination of two years’ hard work – our team has been dedicated to developing a bold vision for the future of the site, one that respects, nurtures and celebrates Belper Mills’ rich history while creating a commercial, residential and visitor offer that will provide a significant economic boost to the local area.

“We will now review the feedback from today’s event and look forward to working with the people of Belper, Amber Valley Council and our partners in bringing this project to fruition.”
