Repeat Dragons’ Den showing for Derby entrepreneur

Ed Hollands

Derby entrepreneur Ed Hollands is set to be on the TV again later this month as the BBC repeats the episode of Dragons’ Den where he secured funding from Dragon Jenny Campbell, known as the Cashpoint Queen.

Hollands appeared on the show in February this year. The programme has proved so popular it’s being repeated on BBC 2 at 6pm on Sunday June 17.

Hollands set up his business DrivenMedia two years ago. He works with hauliers to use the advertising ‘space’ on the sides of trucks and lorries to market products, services and business messages across the UK road network. Advertisers commit to a campaign which is fully trackable via GPS trackers.

He said: “The Dragons’ Den experience has been fantastic for me and DrivenMedia. Jenny has not only invested money in me and my vision – she and her team have provided me with valuable support, insight and contacts. I cannot thank them all enough.

“I’ve made the most of the opportunity. We’ve launched many campaigns for companies and organisations including Yboo and sim only comparison site, Canna and PDS Hygiene,” Ed said.

“However I’ve also been surprised by the unexpected outcomes which have come my way such as being asked to be a guest speaker to other young people or business owners. Another result is the fantastic people I’ve met who have volunteered to help me as they simply want to support me in the early years. These include Paul King, and Matt Turner who have helped me navigate the sector and also given me tips about being a successful entrepreneur.”
