On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Law firm Roythornes Solicitors has appointed Michelle Moore a property lawyer.

Primarily based in Spalding, Moore will work on contentious probate matters, tenancy disputes, professional negligence claims, boundary disputes and agricultural tenancies.

She said: “I’m really pleased to be able to continue my work at Roythornes and to have been offered a permanent role at the firm. There has been several years of hard work to reach this point, but the team have been incredibly supportive throughout my training.

“Roythornes really took into account my desired specialisms and interests, and training contract was built round my ambition to qualify as a solicitor in the property litigation team. I am thrilled to have now achieved this goal.”

Matt and Jordan Slack

The Derby Conference Centre has hired Matthew Slack as its new head chef and his brother Jordan as sous chef.

Matthew said: ““Where possible, I use local produce from local suppliers to put across to our customers what is great about Derby and its local produce. It is something that I am passionate about being born and raised in the city. As well as this, I am introducing a greater variety of dishes across all of The Derby Conference Centre’s menus to satisfy our repeat customers.”
