Celebrated Leicester restaurant set to close

A prominent Leicester restaurant is set to close its doors after nine years.

The Boot Room, on Millstone Lane, revealed in a message to customers that it will close on 30th June. The restaurant has been awarded recommendation in The Michelin Guide every year since 2011.

The restaurant, in a former shoe factory, was also awarded a certificate of excellence by Tripadvisor in 2013 and 2014.

A statement from the restaurant said: “It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Boot Room restaurant. Regretfully, after nine wonderful years, Boot Room will be closing its doors on Saturday June 30th. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the support that you have given us over the years. We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us and we hope to see you one last time.”
