Leicestershire car service centre changes hands

A Leicestershire car service and MOT centre has a new owner following support from Barclays.

Castle Garage, now trading as KCR Service and MOT Centre, has been bought by Karl Edwards.

Edwards, who has worked in the automotive industry all his career, had been running a successful car repair and service business in a rented yard in Ellistown.

He said: “My old site didn’t have an MOT testing station nor the space to expand the capacity of the business which is why, when Castle Garage approached me, I knew this offered me that opportunity.”

Alex Clarke, relationship director at Barclays in Leicestershire said: “Karl has worked hard to establish his business and attract clients from across the county. I am delighted we have been able to support him with the purchase of the new garage which will provide a great platform on which he can further expand his business.”
