Plans revealed for Leicestershire business park that could create 3,000 jobs

A new 238-acre business park could be on the way

Plans to create an employment park near Junction 11 of the M42 could create up to 3,000 jobs, it has been revealed.

IM Properties has drawn up proposals for a 238-acre employment park which it says could become home to major international businesses looking to invest in the area.

Some 3,000 jobs could be created when the park is fully occupied, with up to 170 construction jobs a year created.

David Smith, planning director at IM Properties said: “The region continues to suffer from an acute shortage of large scale employment sites. The site near Junction 11, M42 is strategically located for both the west and east midlands and has the real potential to create new jobs and attract leading international companies to invest in the district.

“Over the last nine months we have worked with North West Leicestershire District Council and other stakeholders to develop high-quality proposals for the site, which take into account local considerations and the necessary supporting infrastructure required.

“Our proposals have been carefully created to minimise visual impact where possible and include sensitive landscaping throughout. We will be consulting with local people and stakeholders to ensure that their views are heard and understood, helping us to shape the best possible scheme for the area.”

Public exhibitions on the new scheme will be open on the following dates and locations:
