Mansfield Town get go-ahead for 100-room hotel

How the new hotel will look

Mansfield Town FC have been given the green light for a 100-bedroom hotel next to its One Call Stadium.

Mansfield District Council gave the green light for the scheme on Monday (2 June). The hotel, run by Hampton by Hilton, will include a gym, retail units and a bar and is expected to be open in time for the 2020/21 season.

The hotel will create between 25 and 30 jobs.

In a letter to the Council, John Radford, owner of the Stags, said: “We are all committed to the development of Mansfield Town and enhancing the contribution it makes to the community in terms of our performance on the pitch. This development will help us increase our contribution to the economy, to local businesses and raise the profile of the town.”
