Land deal to bring forward 93 Derbyshire homes

A six-acre plot of land on the outskirts of Derby has been sold to housebuilder Galliford Try for residential development.

Galliford Try will team up with Derwent Housing to build 93 new private and affordable homes on the land which is located in the village of Riddings.

The land was sold by Amber Valley Borough Council and a private landowner, represented by property advisor, Cushman & Wakefield.

Joe Williams, associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Residential team, said: “The sale is further evidence of the sustained confidence we have witnessing from volume housebuilders across the Midlands. The development will deliver much needed affordable and private sale housing.”

Work on site is due to start onsite later this summer.
