Most active Midlands deal adviser revealed

Gateley has been ranked the most active legal adviser for deals across the Midlands in the first six months of 2018, in a report by Experian.

Activity in the Experian MarketIQ M&A Advisor league table is ranked by volume and the Gateley Corporate and Banking & Finance teams were named top, advising on 29 disclosable deals.

Notable deals include advising private equity investor LDC on its investment in Rolls-Royce and Jaguar Land Rover supplier, Precision Micro, as part of the £22.5m management buyout (MBO) of the firm by global aerospace, defence and energy group Meggitt, as well as advising the shareholders of Westleigh Group on its sale to Countryside Properties for £135m.

Gateley was also ranked number one nationally, as well as in the North West, and featured in the top ten in London, Yorkshire, South East, South West, East of England.
