CPW set to steal the show at Hot Property

Ash Cowdrey in action

If you attended Nottingham Hot Property (NHP) last year then we’re sure you will remember the Spanish-inspired performance of La Bamba by Ash Cowdrey, director at Couch Perry Wilkes (CPW). We sat down with him to find out if CPW will be getting back up on stage for NHP 2018.

How long have CPW been Hot Property sponsors?

We’ve been sponsors for about four years now and we’ve been quite heavily involved. A few years ago, I helped compère the show with Chris White from cpmg and last year was my first time on stage.

How was singing at Hot Property?

Getting up there and seeing 600 faces looking back is quite daunting but then you see lots of people you know all cheering you on and (most) of the nerves disappeared. My performance was definitely not the best one of the night but I think it was really fun and I hope it inspired some new people to give performing a try.

Will you be performing again this year?

I will indeed, however the set list hasn’t been finalised so my song is still to be decided. Harry Stannard – who is also based in the Nottingham CPW office – will making his debut and all I can say is, you don’t want to miss it!

In your opinion, what makes Hot Property so great?

I think it’s because of the fantastic team who put it together. The band are the unsung heroes of the event as not only are they incredibly talented but they work really hard and dedicate so much time to making sure the show runs smoothly.

Alongside Couch Perry Wilkes there are eight other sponsors including Millward – the headline sponsor – Pulse Associates, Samclo Construction, Paragon Interiors, Faithful+Gould, Fraser Brown, CPMG and Browne Jacobson. Joining these are Invest in Nottingham, PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency Blimey Creative and design and print agency Ginger Root.

There are still some spots on the line up available so if you work within property and construction and would like to get up on stage as a singer or part of the band then get in touch with Max Kwan at mkwan@rhdevelopments.com.

Tickets are now on sale via the Nottingham Hot Property website www.nottinghamhotproperty.com and cost £30 a ticket or £25 a ticket for an order of 10 or more tickets.
