Care homes sold as company slips into administration

The Ty Gwyn care home continues to trade

A Chesterfield care home provider has sold two of its homes after falling into administration.

Sun Care Homes called in administrators from Duff & Phelps on 31 July. Prior to this date, it has emerged that Duff & Phelps sold The Gables care home in Beeston and Victoria Cottage care home in Lowdham to unnamed buyers.

The Grange in Beeston, St Michael’s in Brimington, Chesterfield and Ty Gwyn in Enderby have all continued to trade while the company is administration.

In its latest financial results, made up to the end of March 2017, Sun Care Homes owed £542,783 to creditors and had director loans of £513,572.
