On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

The Derby Conference Centre has appointed a new wedding and events coordinator, Jessica Wood.

She said: “I really wanted to work in a place which would expand my knowledge and skills, and to work with hard-working and passionate colleagues. The Derby Conference Centre offers me all of this and more. I’m really looking forward to expanding my knowledge and providing my skills and experience with all clients, to give them the best possible wedding or event.”

She added: “Working in a business focused environment has always been my main goal after finishing education. I’m the sort of person who will always go the extra mile to ensure my customers enjoy a successful and memorable day. For each event or wedding, I’ll always bring passion and enthusiasm for their special day. There will be no greater reward than making our clients happy.”

Paul Myers

Paul Myers, who works for Matthew Montague Architects, has passed his Part III Exam and become a fully-qualified architect.

Myers completed his RIBA Part I at Lincoln University in 2012, following a year placement in London, he completed his Part II studies at the University of Kingston, and has now achieved his Part III qualification.

He has been with Matthew Montague Architects since June 2015.

Myers’ designs are influenced by Scandinavian and Nordic architecture. He has worked on several housing developments and is currently running a large domestic project on-site within a conservation area in the village of Quarndon. He is also designing a new commercial/retail development in Derby.
