New MD for The Nottinghamshire Golf Club

Amanda Fletcher

Notts County commercial director Amanda Fletcher has been promoted to the role of managing director at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club.

Fletcher, who joined Notts last year, will combine her now role at The Nottinghamshire with the position of operations director at Meadow Lane.

Notts chairman and owner Alan Hardy said: “Amanda becoming the new managing director of The Nottinghamshire, following the retirement of Bill Mackenzie, is a natural transition for both her and myself.

“Having achieved great commercial success at Meadow Lane, I have no doubt she is the right person to lead The Nottinghamshire following its recent £2 million investment.

“Amanda has done a great job since joining the Notts County board last June and will continue to be a crucial figure at Meadow Lane.

“Her delivery of our commercial, hospitality and events platform has been phenomenal and, in her new role as operations director, she will continue to play a key strategic role to ensure the effective delivery of the club’s operations functions.”

Fletcher added: “I am really looking forward to combining my exciting new role at Meadow Lane with a brilliant opportunity at The Nottinghamshire, the only 36-hole championship course in Nottingham which also boasts a 30-bedroom boutique hotel with extensive facilities.

“I’m extremely proud of what the Notts County commercial team and I achieved during the 2017-2018 season and I’m sure that, under new leadership, it will continue to grow and become even more successful.

“As a lifelong supporter of the club as well as a member of the board, Notts County has a very special place in my heart and I remain proud to work for the chairman, whose positive leadership has undoubtedly aided my personal development.”
