National operators eye former West Bridgford bar and restaurant

The former Mud Crab unit in West Bridgford is receiving interest from national operators, according to the agency in charge of marketing it.

Alan Pearson, director at FHP Property Consultants, has told TheBusinessDesk.com that he has received four offers from national and regional leisure operators since Mud Crab closed its doors on 8 August.

Peason said: “There is still good levels of interest for quality space and we’ve had offers from operators who trade in the 25-30 unit space and two which have 100-plus outlets – all of which are willing to pay close to the passing rent of the previous tenant. The quality of these operators shows that West Bridgford is still a desirable place to do business in the leisure sector.”

Mud Crab was the once-popular bar and restaurant, which was called Felicini when it opened ten years ago in West Bridgford but changed names to Mud Crab in 2013.

It was was part of a small chain of restaurants – the others being in Sheffield, Didsbury and Manchester.
