Nottingham-headquartered PR and digital agency Cartwright Communications has been appointed by FHP and FHP Waterside Living to promote the city’s waterside development schemes.

Cartwright will work with the FHP Waterside Living team to “champion regeneration of the riverside and raise awareness of its importance to the city’s growth”.

Liz Cartwright, managing director said: “The waterside is a key area of redevelopment in Nottingham and it’s vital that its potential to become a central part of the city’s growth and economic prosperity is maximised.

“Our partnership with FHP and the FHP Waterside Living team will allow us to reflect the breadth of opportunity for residents to become part of a unique riverside community that offers unrivalled leisure-time combined with easy access to the work and social aspects of West Bridgford and the city.”

Cartwright will promote a number of luxury developments on the banks of the River Trent including Trent Bridge Quays, Trent Basin, The Yacht Club Riverside and the previous Rushcliffe Borough Council Civic Centre building, now named The Waterside, located on Trent Bridge.

David Hargreaves, managing director of FHP Living, said: “Nottingham has historically been behind other cities such as Bristol in terms of its waterside regeneration. I’m pleased to say that won’t be the case for much longer, with a number of incredibly exciting developments being delivered and in the pipeline. At present we are working on more than £130 million of new waterside developments.

“Waterside living is a lifestyle and a way of life; we’re investing in putting the word out there that Nottingham’s regeneration is flourishing and the rest of the city should be just as excited. Furthermore, we believe buyers will see strong returns on their investments as the market matures whilst at the same time providing attractive accommodation for graduates looking to make their home in Nottingham after university to boost the city’s graduate retention rate. Plus, these schemes will provide a stunning home for inward investors to help Nottingham grow economically.”

Steve Parker, director of new homes, land and developments at FHP Living, said: “The future for the waterside in Nottingham is bright; not only are the developments themselves beautiful but there are options for every type of homeowner. As well as the top end of penthouses, many of the apartments will offer affordable living through Help to Buy schemes.

“Waterside living gives the best of both worlds – a city-centre postcode within arm’s reach of West Bridgford, surrounded by a peaceful and relaxing environment. There’s already a healthy buzz around the waterside and we’re hoping to build that further over the coming months.”
