A new affordable housing development is set to built in the centre of Coalville after a land deal was completed by NG Chartered Surveyors.

Acting on behalf of Lunette Properties, NG has sold The Old Foundry site on Scotlands Road in Coalville to Westleigh Partnerhips.

The site had been vacant, but is now set for redevelopment to provide 14 new affordable homes.

Westleigh, which was recently acquired by Countryside Properties, was selected as the preferred purchaser after a focused period of marketing in 2017.

Richard Sutton, director at NG said: “We were always confident that Westleigh would be the right buyer for this site; they have worked really hard to deliver something that will enhance the town centre and they have always been able to deliver on sites when other developers can’t.”

Moore said: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of The Old Foundry site on Scotlands Road.

“Our plans for development will see the site put back to good use by delivering much-needed affordable housing for property-seekers in Coalville, and we would like to thank NG for being such efficient agents.”
