On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Faye Forde

Leicester-based national charity, Mesothelioma UK has appointed Faye Forde as its new business manager.

Mesothelioma UK supports people with the asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma. Forde will work with the charity’s seven-strong Operations Team to manage its business operations and help it to achieve its business goals.

Mesothelioma UK funds 18 Clinical Nurse Specialists for mesothelioma patients, based in NHS Trusts around the UK. The charity hopes to increase this number to 30 and also to raise £1m for research into better treatment and care.

Before joining Mesothelioma UK, Forde worked as an operations manager for a visual communications company.

Forde said: “I’ve always wanted to work in the non-profit sector. I have a drive to help others and contribute to something that has a real, positive impact on people. Mesothelioma UK does some amazing work and makes a difference to people and I’m looking forward to being part of that.”

Leigh Chapple Lynch

An estate agency in Leicester city centre has promoted a new sales manager to head up its residential sales department.

Sales manager Leigh Chapple Lynch first joined the company in 2011 as a valuer and negotiator. In the seven years that he has worked at Andrew Granger & Co, he has progressed onto senior negotiator before his promotion to residential sales manager.

Chapple Lynch said: “Andrew Granger & Co has a great ethos of looking after their staff by investing in their career progression. Gaining my professional qualifications alongside practical professional experience as a valuer and negotiator has prepared me well to make the step up to sales manager. I’m really looking forward to the new challenge of running the busy Leicester sales team.”
