New virtual reality experience at intu Derby

Immersive virtual reality experience, Immotion Group, has opened at intu Derby.

intu says the venue will offer customers “a unique experience” developed by Immotion Group’s creative studios.

Based on the Upper Mall next to Byron Burger and Carluccios, the new attraction features two racing car simulators, two guns and two VX1 pods running Immotion’s newest experiences – Delta Zero, a space-inspired battle game and Legend of Lusca, an underwater adventure.

Adam Tamsett, general manager at intu Derby, said: “We are delighted to welcome ImmotionVR to the centre, with its unmissable immersive pods. We know our customers are always looking for the latest technology, and virtual reality is very much so at the forefront of developments in the entertainment industry. Offering a truly unique, one of a kind experience, we are certain visitors of all ages will have fantastic fun trying out this cutting-edge software.

“Whether you are in centre for a spot of shopping, a meal or a trip to the cinema, make sure you head to the ImmotionVR pods and make the most of this exciting addition,” he added.

Further experiences are due to launch later this year, including seasonal themed experiences for both Halloween and Christmas, said Tamsett.
