Leicestershire development land up for sale

Two and a half hectares of development land on the northern edge of Asfordby in Leicestershire, with planning permission for up to 55 new homes, is up for sale through Mather Jamie.

The site, which is located off Saxelby Road just three miles west of Melton Mowbray, is former pastureland, and has Outline Planning Permission from Melton Borough Council for 26 two bedroom homes (including two bungalows), 24 three bedroom homes and five four bedroom homes.

Gary Kirk, associate director for Mather Jamie, said: “This superbly located site will be of much interest to developers, as it offers the chance to bring dozens of much needed new homes to the area of Melton, with planning approval already granted by the local authority, and a completed S106 Agreement.”

The S106 Agreement contains financial obligations for developers to provide, including a contribution of more than £155,000 towards local secondary education, £25,000 towards offsite affordable housing, more than £4,500 towards a civil amenity and £1,620 to the local library service, plus other contributions towards bus passes and travel packs for residents.
