Experian to ‘consolidate’ Nottingham offices, say reports

Experian's base at NG2

Experian may look to cut the number of offices it operates from in Nottingham, according to reports.

The credit check agency says a staff consultation is underway, says The Nottingham Post. The firm employs 2,800 people in the area at bases on NG2 Business Park, Electric Avenue and Talbot Street in Nottingham city centre, as well as in Ruddington and New Ollerton.

It is unclear whether or not the move will bring about job losses at the firm, which was set up over three decades ago.

A spokesperson for Experian told The Post: “We regularly review procedure across our service delivery teams to help determine our future strategy and make sure we are giving our customers the best possible service.

“As part of this process, over the next eight months, some roles may be transferred to other regions. Wherever possible, we will find new roles for affected individuals within the Experian organisation.

“Nottingham is Experian’s home and we remain fully committed to the city and to the East Midlands region.

“We are currently in consultation with a number of UK-based Experian employees who will be impacted by these changes.

“A standard part of our strategy review process is to look at our office footprint. “It is our intent to consolidate our premises in Nottingham, however plans are at an early stage.”
