Carluccio’s to shut Nottingham restaurant

Antonio Carluccio, founder

Carluccio is set to close its Nottingham city centre venue after seven years.

The news comes just months after the firm entered a company voluntary arrangement (CVA).

The Nottingham restaurant on Low Pavement will close its doors for the final time in December, said the company. However, the firm’s West Bridgford venue will remain open and will be refurbished.

A statement from Carluccio said: “Following the announcement that Carluccio’s has entered a CVA, our Nottingham city centre restaurant will close in December.

“This in no way reflects the passion and commitment displayed by our team – we thank them for their hard work and we have offered them the opportunity to relocate to other stores.

“We are confident that most will be relocated to our restaurant in West Bridgford which is unaffected by the current restructuring process and will be refurbished in the new year as part of our post-CVA £10m investment programme.”
