Three new tenants have moved into Bildurn Properties’ Wallis Building, also known as St Mary’s School in Nottingham.

GT3 Architects, DHP Family as well as Bildurn itself have all relocated to the building.

The 11,661 sq ft property is a listed building on Barker Gateand was refurbished by Bildurn in 2012. The scheme was a former Methodist church and then a boys’ school and has Grade II listing.

GT3 Architects will move a team of 40 to the building. Gary Thomason, director, said: “We have experienced steady growth, merging with +3 Architecture two years ago to form GT3 Architects, now with studios in Newcastle and Nottingham, 40 staff, and growing.

“We had outgrown our premises on Castlegate in Nottingham and were looking for a new space with character for the next stage of our development, and have found ideal space with Bildurn at The Wallis Building – an old school building with accommodation over two floors – open plan office space at first floor with high ceilings and lots of natural light, and the ground floor where we have created a series of different working environments as part of our “Performance Plus” office design service. Our key design sectors are in masterplanning, leisure, sport, office and workplace design, and we have in house interior designers. Our success is down to teamwork. Steady and sustained growth, repeat clients, award winning buildings and impeccable client service.”

GT3 is joined by Bildurn’s team of five and DHP’s Family of 46 Nottingham office-based staff. DHP Family is the name behind major indoor and outdoor festivals, national tours and standalone shows across the UK, including Nottingham’s Splendour festival.

Bildurn has recently been granted planning permission for its new Grade A Office scheme at 11 Station Street in Nottingham.

Sean Akins from Bildurn said: “It’s fantastic that our own team is now housed in one of the Lace Market’s premier development with neighbours GT3 and DHP Family. This is a perfect, innovative space that combines modernist facilities in a building with a huge amount of heritage.”
