Leicester entrepreneur reveals national ambition for estate agency

Adam Horton

The owner of a Leicester estate agency says he wants to knock online rival Purplebricks off its perch

Twenty-five year old Adam Horton, who owns Hortons, says he is building a team that uses personal branding to become “the go-to person in their area for both buyers and sellers.”

Horton says he is turning Purplebricks’ pricing model on its head by only charging a fee they successfully achieve a result for the client.

Hortons was launched last year in Leicester by Horton, who says he has plans to expand the business region by region and have full national coverage within the next two years.

He said: “We chose Leicester as our launch city as it’s right in the centre of the country and provided a great starting point for our initial goal of proving the concept in the East Midlands. We now cover Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The next phase is to expand into the South East and East Anglia, which will be achieved by the end of next year”.

“Our goal is to have full national coverage by 2021, and to be the agent of choice for sellers who want to be represented by accomplished, highly skilled estate agents. We want to the be the country’s most client focused estate agency and reshape people’s view of the industry.”
