New Leicester venue ‘inundated’ with membership requests

Membership for Leicester’s Queen Victoria Arts Club has been launched earlier than anticipated due to unprecedented demand for spaces, it has been revealed.

The £650,000 restaurant, which is based in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter, opened its doors with three high-profile showcase events and says it has been “inundated” with requests for the memberships ever since.

Despite the original plans to start take bookings for the exclusive members-only part of the club in the New Year, bosses say demand has been so high that business owner Cassie Soulsby made the decision to pre-sell the coveted memberships now.

Soulsby said: “Ever since we announced plans for the members’ club and restaurant we started getting enquiries, and this peaked when people came along to our showcase events and saw the enormous potential of the venue.

“We have been overwhelmed by the feedback we have received so far with so many calls, emails and personal requests to join, that we decided to open up the membership offering early. It seems that Leicester is living up to its Premier League status and is ready for a venue like the Queen Victoria Arts Club.”
