Plans revealed to turn 32,000 sq ft office building into flats

Stanley House

Plans to turn a Grade II listed office building into student flats have been submitted to Nottingham City Council.

The Talbot Street Property Company was to turn the 32,000 sq ft Stanley House into 99 student rooms. The building, which was built in 1863 is currently vacant and is more commonly known locally as Lambert’s Factory as it was used by a lace of the same name until 1979.

A planning statement with the application reads: “The proposed development will breathe new life into one of the city’s historic buildings [and will bring] a redevelopment of an existing building which will make use of existing services and transport systems.”

In March this year Stanley House was sold for £3m to Sleekmade Property Company which brought the property from Tosca Midlands.
