Northants biomass and waste treatment firm enters administration

A Northants company that manages and operates biomass and waste treatment facilities has slipped into administration.

RSM has been appointed administrator to Daventry-based Silvertee Enviromental. The company also has a site in Warwickshire. It’s website states: “Silvertree has huge ambitions to be a market leading operator specialising in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of biomass combined heat and power (CHP) operations and has already been tasked with providing the O&M functions for a number of biomass CHP and waste water treatment (WWT) facilities. The biomass plants will process circa 50,000 tpa of waste wood, the green electricity generated will be distributed to the national grid network, the WWT plants will process circa 65,000 tpa. We are now committed to building up our core operational teams to increase capacity to operate more plants.”

A spokesperson for RSM said: “The company is continuing to trade as the administrators seek to secure a sale as a going concern.”
