Nottingham printing company secures £250,000 funding boost

A Nottingham-based commercial printing company has secured a £250,000 facility from an invoice finance firm.

Sherwood Universal, a family-owned printing business, said it will use the cash to expand its design and printing offering, which currently includes logo design and company branding, and digital, litho and large format printing.

The business sourced the cash through Manchester-based invoice finance provider, Positive Cashflow Finance.

Tony Hunt, sales director at Sherwood Universal, said: “We’re thrilled to have secured funding from Positive after experiencing problems with a previous lender. We required a funding partner that could listen to us and recognise our immediate business needs, and Positive did just that. The whole team has really taken the time to understand our business and how we work which makes a huge difference.

“We plan to bolster our printing offering to provide businesses and people with higher quality printing. Our strong relationship with Positive, and our relationship manager, Damien Healy, ensured the whole process ran smoothly – he was on hand to help us with business advice and problem solving as well as financing solutions.”

Phil Chesham, sales and marketing director at Positive Cashflow Finance, said: “We are pleased to help Tony and the team at Sherwood Universal continue to sustain and grow their business. We look forward to a long business relationship and assisting them achieve their future business goals.”
