On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Newark and Sherwood Homes has appointed local businessman Andrew Fearn as its new Board chairman.

Fearn has over 40 years’ experience as a lawyer, most recently as a deputy managing partner of Langleys in Lincoln and York.

He said: “I am honoured to join Newark and Sherwood Homes as chairman of the Board and look forward to being an ambassador for the company as well as the local community, through leading discussions with integrity and a fresh pair of eyes. Neil Kinnerley

Chartered accountancy firm Newby Castleman has added to its Personal Tax team by taking on an experienced tax consultant to advise its clients and help prepare for the introduction of Making Tax Digital.

Neil Kinnerley has 24 years of accountancy experience as a result of working across the UK for several different firms, and has spent the last 15 years living and working in the Leicester area. He will be based in the firm’s Leicester office on Regent Road.

He said: ““I’m delighted to have started with Newby Castleman, as it’s a well-established and respected accountancy firm that is leading the way in Leicestershire. Businesses in the city and county are enjoying a real spell of success right now, meaning more affluence locally, leading to more work for personal tax consultants such as myself.”
