Experian chair lined up for top job at London Stock Exchange

Don Robert

The chairman of Nottingham-based Experian, Don Robert, could be the next boss of the London Stock Exchange (LSE), according to reports.

Sky News says that Robert is in the frame to succeed Donald Brydon, a year after mutinous shareholders forced him out. An announcement is reportedly due before Christmas.

Robert has been chairman at Experian for over a decade and before that was the credit information giant’s chief executive.

The LSE said last November that Brydon would not be standing for re-election at its SGM in spring 2019 after a public row between its board and hedge fund and major shareholder The Children’s Investment Fund Management.
