Derbyshire farm shop Croots has expanded its services to offer a wedding reception venue at its countryside site just outside Duffield.

The farm shop has teamed up with events specialist and tipi hire company Tipi and Kata to host regular wedding receptions from April 2019 until October 2019, catering for 140 guests.

“We are delighted that Croots Country Weddings has teamed up with Tipi and Kata to offer a new wedding reception venue in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside,” said Kay Croot, who runs the farm shop at Farnah House Farm, Wirksworth Road, with husband Steve.

“We have staged numerous events at Croots Farm Shop since we opened more than ten years ago, with super feedback, so we are very pleased to now be launching our new partnership with Tipi and Kata and look forward to providing newlyweds with a truly memorable day.

“Steve and I had our own wedding reception in a marquee at the farm in September 1990, and over the years we have hosted a number of weddings in the fields around the farm. This partnership with Tipi and Kata means that we can offer superbly decorated tipis with an enchanting atmosphere, alongside a wonderful range of food and drink, and all the other items that really make the big day for couples.”

Steve Barnes, from Tipi and Kata said: “We have a huge love and passion for creating amazing and beautiful weddings and events, and are very excited to be launching a new partnership with Croots Farm Shop – an award-winning farm shop set in a stunning location just outside Derby.

“As fellow Derbyshire-based businesses, we are delighted to be joining forces to offer a unique new venue in the county, and in such a beautiful part of the UK, for couples to celebrate their special day.”
